Rwanda named their new stadium after Brazilian legend Pelé

Rwanda has become the latest country to name the stadium after the late legendary Brazilian footballer, Edson Arantes dos Nascimento, more commonly known as Pele.
Rwandan President Paul Kagame joined FIFA boss Gianni Infantino at the inauguration of the new stadium.
The East African nation became the third country in Africa after Cape Verde and Guinea-Bissau to name the stadium after Pelé.

Pelé died in December 2022 after battling cancer at the age of 82. Interesting features:

The Rwandan president also gave a short speech, sharing his excitement on social media.
