Bryan Gil, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Harry Kane of Tottenham
A Tottenham player appears to have tried to leave the club by revealing that it would be "much better" if he represented another team.
It looks like Tottenham will have big changes this summer, both in terms of staff and players. Antonio Conte is set to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of June.
Several managers are considered to replace him, such as Thomas Tuchel, Roberto de Zerbi, Thomas Frank and Ruben Amorim. But many reports have singled out Mauricio Pochettino as the main target of Spurs chairman Daniel Levy. The club's senior officials also need to remove some of the weak elements of the team and bring in high-quality stars.
Players such as Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele and Sergio Reguilon, who are currently on loan, will have to be sold permanently.
As for potential players, Spurs are eyeing Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez as a potential replacement for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
One Spurs man managed to put the rolling ball into a permanent exit by talking openly about his situation. Winger Bryan Gil is the one mentioned. He joined Spurs in a £21.6m deal from Sevilla in July 2021, with the transfer also bringing Erik Lamela into the Spain squad.
Spurs man targets permanent departure after loan spell
However, Gil has struggled to impress or score a single goal in 31 appearances for the north London side. As a result, he was loaned to Valencia and now Sevilla.
Gil did an interesting interview with Spanish source Estadio Deportivo. First, he explained that his only criticism of Sevilla was that his coach showed him useless videos to prepare for matches. "I don't like watching videos of opponents. Against PSV at home, talking to an analyst, he told me that I can play right-back, that he feels comfortable at home. there and I never left the line, and when the game was over, I told him 'please don't show me any more pictures of the full-backs,' Gil said.
“I don't like to see how they defend because I think that creates conditions for you. When I researched that, it never worked out for me because you start to think you have to, which doesn't help me.
The Spaniard then began efforts to promote Spurs' departure by revealing that it would be 'much better' if he could play for Sevilla from next season.
“I always tell my agent that I always want to play, no matter where,” he added. "If at Sevilla it's much better, when you feel important it's when you play. In the top league everyone has talent, but confidence is what gets you the extra points.
It is clear that Gil wants to leave Spurs this summer. He was going to England hoping to make a big impact, but that didn't happen.
Unfortunately for the player, his contract with Spurs runs until June 2026. This means he has to wait for an interested club to submit an offer and reach an agreement with Spurs first. when he can go.
