A good blend of colors can give a stunning look. Colors must be carefully selected else you will confuse yourself and the people around you. Fashion designers use the color wheel for clothes matching. A color wheel is a circle diagram that shows the relationship between different colors. It originated from Sir Isaac Newton. It has primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. It has twelve colors.  They are yellow, yellow-orange, orange, orange-red, red, red-purple, purple, purple-blue, blue, blue-green, green, and green-yellow.

These colors can also have tints, shades, and tones. To create a harmonious effect for any artistic work, the color wheel has been classified further into complementary, monochromatic, and analogous colors.

Complementary colors are colors that are on opposite sides of the color wheel. On the color wheel, blue and orange, red and green, and yellow and purple are complementary colors. Monochromatic colors come from the same color but with shades, tones, and tints.

A shade of a color is produced when you add black to it. A tint is generated when white is added to a color. A tone is a color mixed with grey. Black, white, and grey are neutral colors. Neutral colors lack much saturation or intensity and they can match a lot of things. An example is navy blue and sky blue which all come from one hue (blue). Analogous colors are located next to each other on the color wheel. Orange, Red-orange, and red are analogous colors. You can confirm from the image above.

These concepts are seen in some of the dresses, shoes, and bags you use. This principle is normally utilized in a lot of decorations. You do not have to necessarily use one color in your outfit. You can blend colors in the right way to look gorgeous. You can select the complementary style or go monochromatic. You can also choose the analogous path. It all depends on you. Just make sure there is harmony. Take a look at some outfits with complementary colors.
