Mohamed Kudus, who is wanted by MANCHESTER UNITED, is reportedly open to signing a contract extension with Ajax.
Erik ten Hag, the manager of United, is searching for reinforcements from his former club after signing Lisandro Martinez and Antony last summer.
Now that Kudus has a contract through 2025 and has been linked with both Liverpool and Arsenal, Ten Hag is keeping an eye on him.
The playmaker, who can play anywhere up front, is, nevertheless, committed to Ajax and eager to sign a new contract since he is pleased with the opportunity and growth he receives in Amsterdam.
"I am really happy at Ajax right now, but I will be much happier if we win the double," Kudus told De Telegraaf.
"But, why would I choose not to renew? I play good and grow.
Negotiation and valuation are now involved. We'll see how it goes when the moment is right.
However, those [contract negotiations with Ajax] must be handled by my manager [agent]. I want to give the title race my whole attention.
With Ajax this year, Kudus has been on fire, and he has starred in the Champions League.
In 36 games this season in all competitions, the 22-year-old has accumulated 18 goals and five assists.
The Ghanaian international made a name for himself at the 2022 World Cup, as he scored twice in three games.
Despite missing five months of last season due to injuries, Kudus has been in excellent form this year.
Since moving to Ajax from Nordsjaelland in 2020, the Ghanaian has made 78 appearances and has tallied a total of 23 goals and nine assists.
Despite interest from Premier League powerhouses Man United, Arsenal, and Liverpool, Mohamed Kudus has stated he is eager to remain at Ajax past the 2022–2023 season.
Man United was mentioned in a recent 90min report as one of the elite clubs in Europe keeping an eye on Kudus this year. The brilliant Ghanian was being watched by scouts from Napoli, AC Milan, Inter, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Liverpool in addition to the Red Devils.
