How Vinicius Jr vs Araujo in El Clasico
The showdown between Vinicius Jr and Ronald Araujo was widely publicized in El Clasico on Sunday.
Barca fans are delighted when Araujo returns to action after receiving a red card suspended against Athletic Club.
There were worrying signs in the opening minutes of the game when the Uruguayan unwittingly responded to a Vinicius shot. After that, the Brazilian appeared to have comforted his South American compatriot.
The stats showed Araujo on his own against Vini after a tense first few minutes left the Brazilian with just one shot all game. The 22-year-old is the best dribbler in La Liga but he only made 2 of his 6 dribbles in the whole game.
Real Madrid attack from the left with Vini more from the right with Fede Valverde or Rodrygo. This explains why Vinicius (60) touches the ball more than any other player in the top 3 of Los Blancos. Benzema and Valverde touch the ball an average of 47 times per game.
Although his teammates regularly turned to him, Vinicius could not make the impact on the game as he often did at Real Madrid. He lost possession 20 times and won only six of his 14 ground tackles in the game.
No goals, no assists and only one tame shot. It's fair to say Araujo has Vini's number at this point.

Chelsea continue to spend lavishly as club are willing to pay over 100 million euros to sign Valverde from Madrid- Report
Todd Boehly, owner of Chelsea
To sign 24-year-old Uruguayan Federico Valverde for Real Madrid, Chelsea boss Todd Boehly is set to make a big move in the transfer market. Boehly is said to have prepared a blank check for the star midfielder and is willing to pay more than 100 million euros to get his man. According to the report, money was not an issue for Boehly.
That is Boehly's next move, according to El Nacional, and it comes after a spate of lavish spending that saw Chelsea spend €600m on new signings. However, there isn't too much talent for the ambitious west London club, who are looking to add to their squad after signing the likes of Mykhailo Mudryk. Despite the impressive number of signings, the Blues boss remains unhappy with how competitive the team is, especially in certain areas of the pitch. In particular, midfield was identified as a key area for improvement. This is due to N'Golo Kante's injury and coach Graham Potter's lack of trust in players like Carney Chukwuemeka and others.
For Boehly, the list of transfer targets is already established, and at the top of the list is Valverde, a player who has also caught the eye of Manchester United and Liverpool. The Red Devils even tried to sign the midfielder after the Champions League final but were turned down by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez. Valverde is considered a fundamental player in Carlo Ancelotti's plans at Real Madrid and is seen as a cornerstone of the club's long-term plans. According to El Nacional, he also does not want to leave La Liga because he and his wife have repeatedly expressed satisfaction with life in the Spanish capital.
