Victor Osimhen is the first Nigerian to score 20 goals in Europe in a single season
Osimhen, a Nigerian-born player, started his professional career in Germany in 2017 with VfL Wolfsburg.
After spending a season and a half with the team, he was loaned to Charleroi in Belgium for the 2018-19 season before joining Lille in France.
Osimhen joined Serie A side Napoli in 2020 for a club record price of 70 million euros. In the 2021–22 season, he was named Serie A Young Player of the Year.
In 2015, Osimhen received the FIFA U-17 World Cup Golden Shoe award which Nigeria won. He participated in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and made his senior international debut in June 2017. He is currently eighth in scoring for the Nigerian national team.
Osimhen's total goals for club and country
Osimhen, a football unicorn in many ways, is a powerful, contemporary and athletic forward, with a keen goal-scoring vision, direct play and average playing skills for blocking and linking. He will ask for payment if you give him a meter in the box.
He also has great aerial ability, speed and acceleration to get past his mentor, and the ability to easily beat defenders. As a result, he has a rare combination of skills and is therefore in high demand. It makes sense that so many great sharks are interested in his services.
Osimhen has a contract with Napoli until 2025, but it looks like the Partenopei's determination to keep the star striker will soon be tested. In the following months, calls will start pouring in and teams will line up to sign the Napoli assassin.
However, it won't come cheap. Given that club president Aurelio De Laurentiis is known to have landed a bargain selling his biggest fortune, it would be a big surprise if he chose anything less than 100 million euros.
If Napoli finally end their long Scudetto drought this season, their supply will surely increase even more.
All in all, Osimhen is quickly becoming a striker of the highest caliber, and it will be interesting to see his goalscoring streak as he is sure to break many records at both club and international level. . The goal of the team game
