A MEDIA DONATES ITEMS TO NADMO IN BAWKU WEST DISTRICT.
Kusaasi Voice Association donates 4 bags of rice and a big gallon of oil to NADMO in support of the refugees in the Bawku West District.
This initiative follows the terrorist attacks in some border communities in Burkina Faso, as many as over 4,000 Burkinabe Nationals have sought refuge in the Bawku West District of the Upper East Region.
The refugees fled to Ghana after terrorists believed to be Jihadise attacked homes in Zoago, Bugre, and Zabre communities in Burkina Faso including burning of police station and killing several people.
As a result, many people, women and children have no accomodations, food, shelter and portable drinking water.
Speaking to Kusasis Voice Association and Akelliba Media, the DCE of Zebilla Hon. Issahaku Ahmed Tahiru, lamented that it is not only food that the refugees need but they also need clothes and other needs most especially health facilities.
He added that, Kusasis Voice Association and Akelliba Media are one of the biggest platform that aid people all over the Kusaug traditional Area.
He also thanked Kusaasi Voice Association and Akelliba Media for the kind gesture shown to refugees in the District and called on other stakeholders, benevolent individuals, NGOs, etc to support.
However, Abdul Latif Akelliba the CEO of the Kusaasi Voice Association said "this is not the first time and it is not going to be the last too" he calls on other groups and Philantropist to come help the victims.
Some of the Refugees stays in border communities such as Widnaba, soogo, Sapieliga, Kansoogo, and Googo in the Bawku West District as well as in Bunduri. This guy is a national security operative that we use our taxes to pay him. But he is using his connection in the security to fight tribal conflict. He's always on the battlefield to fight Kusaas. Rest in hell as we sue national security for answers.
