What happened between Gavi and Ceballos when they met at the national team camp

Dani Ceballos and Gavi have faced each other twice this season.

After pulling Gavi's hair and walking away in January, Ceballos received well-deserved consequences on Sunday when the Barca star roughly knocked him off the ball.

Despite the apparent tension, Ceballos revealed that both were called up for Spain's EURO qualifiers, having resolved their differences.

"We discussed it. Everything that happens on the pitch is still there. "We come from two neighboring towns. He lives 10 kilometers from my house. You know how south we are. We are very angry.

“We have to go in the same direction. If the right atmosphere and vibe doesn't work, I won't run after him and he won't run after me.

"That needs to be shelved. We share our position. We're partners now."

Nathan Ake's time at Manchester City has reached new heights, as the Dutch defender has become one of Pep Guardiola's most important defenders.

The Chelsea academy graduate has made 21 Premier League appearances this season, 17 of which he started from the start, a huge improvement from last season when he made just 14 appearances in all competitions. Season. The first question is, what changed to convince Guardiola that Ake could be an important part of his title-chasing side?

We can start by going back to the summer when City signed another centre-back, Manuel Akanji, meaning Ake had yet another hurdle to overcome in order to win regular minutes. The club sold Oleksandr Zinchenko before signing young Spaniard Sergio Gomez. Every time Gomez gets a few minutes, it becomes clear to many that he doesn't quite know. That's not to say he won't eventually adapt, but he's not the right person for the job right now.

But it's good because the Blues have one of the best players in Europe, Joao Cancelo. Until January, anyway. Following Guardiola's claim that some in the dressing room lacked 'passion, fire and desire', the Portuguese full-back was quickly loaned out to Bayern Munich.

This leaves many fans and pundits wondering who City will sign before the transfer window closes. However, his replacement Cancelo did not arrive and City have a huge hole in their squad that seems to need to be filled.

Step up to Ake. As noted, he's had a rough start at City, with opportunities hard to come by for the 28-year-old. He had to wait for his chance and since the opportunity came, he was hardly wrong.

Having played at left-back, notably during his loan spell at Watford in the 2015/16 season, he knows how to take on the role. As a lower, left-footed centre-back, coaches have sometimes pushed him behind and so he is no stranger to having to move out on the flanks.

But that opportunity is his biggest, and playing as a full-back in one of Pep's teams is no easy task. He knows the starting left-back position at Man City could be his if he impresses. Ake brings consistency and stability at left-back, but also courage and determination. He's a player who will always give his best and he's part of a team that fans can support. The gadget has won an astounding 3.1 duels per game in the league this season. On top of that, Ake has a pass accuracy rate of 91% this term.

He has also been involved in some of the team's most important moments this season. The first game came in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the Etihad, where Ake's smart finish helped the Blues win tickets to the next round and deal a psychological blow to title rivals Arsenal.

Then, on February 15, it was Man City's turn to march to the Emirates. The league clash was a much smoother one than the previous FA Cup tie, which ended in a 3-1 win for the Blues.

Victory is a tough one, and without Ake, the outcome could have been very different.

A beautiful pass past the Man City defense helped Eddie Nketiah score. His strike was not within Ederson's range, but Ake read the game well and stopped the shot over the line with a final save, giving the Blues a big lead in the final.
