Arsenal injury news: The Gunners will have to deal with a number of unresolved matters off the field during the break.

Mikel Arteta will be anxiously awaiting the start of the international break to see how his Arsenal players tackle the last obstacle before the real sprint finish in the Premier League. With with 10 games remaining, they have a chance to win the championship thanks to a strong eight-point lead over Manchester City.

Even though Pep Guardiola's team has a game left to play, the difference between them has remained at five points for most of the year. On that front, just a brief hiccup seemed to have raised many eyebrows.

Now that the aptly named "squeaky bum time" is upon us, every match-by-match decision will have a significant impact on the league's future. The two-week break could not have come at a better time for Arteta.

Last week, Arteta remarked, "We hope Willy [Saliba] is going to be better news." Again, a clearer image won't be available until tomorrow. There are concerns that he might still miss months of time due to a back injury.

Nketiah updated her followers on social media with the following message: "Grafting! *muscle emoji* #SoonBack." A second image was subsequently posted to his Instagram story with the comment, "Rehab crew, monster mindset *brain emoji* *finger point emoji*."

Arteta expressed optimism for his return as well "He's improving, now. He remains inside the boot. We must exercise patience because he is still a few weeks away. He has a significant task as a result of the severe injuries. We are grateful that it wasn't worse. So, his situation is not dire."

However, Takehiro Tomiyasu's season-ending injury means that the Gunners will be without two players for the foreseeable future. According to a club statement: "Tomi had successful surgery on Tuesday in London and won't be available for the rest of the campaign. To enable Tomi to participate in pre-season training ahead of the upcoming season, everyone at the club will now work arduously with him."

With Tomiyasu's shocking performance, three players from Arsenal will miss Leeds United's game.

The injury blow to Takehiro Tomiyasu has already been addressed by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta
