Several of the finest teams in Europe are undoubtedly keeping an eye on Alexis Mac Allister, and according to his father, preliminary inquiries have been made.

According to his father, a number of clubs are expressing interest in signing World Cup champion Alexis MacAllister from Argentina.

The 24-year-old has established himself as a key member of Premier League team Brighton and Hove Albion, and Manchester City and Liverpool have both been linked with him recently.

The success of Argentina's bid for Qatar 2022 has increased Mac Allister's market value and improved his profile.

Although Carlos Mac Allister, who was also capped by Argentina, claims his son is sought overseas, Brighton would be sad to see him depart.

According to him, as reported by TNT Sports, "the teams are starting to phone us about Alexis, but there are no solid negotiations for now."

"Together, we shall choose whether Brighton is deserving of respect. It is not just about the money; we will also base our decision on the coach."

Alexis Mac Allister, whose contract runs through the conclusion of the 2024–25 season, reportedly stated that joining another Premier League team should be his "next move."

At the conclusion of the season, Liverpool may be looking to upgrade their midfield, and Mac Allister may be a wise alternative for Ilkay Gundogan should the German international leave City.

Mac Allister has scored seven goals and contributed one assist for Brighton, who are now seventh in the Premier League and actively vying for a place in the European competition.

Moreover, they have advanced to the FA Cup semifinals, where they will face Manchester United at Wembley.

Mac Allister would want to play for a top team if he remained in England.

According to a March 1 story from TyC Sports, Mac Allister stated: "I don't have a specific team where I declare 'this is how I play. I believe that there are some really good, powerful teams in the Premier League, like Manchester City and Arsenal.

"Being a former player under Graham Potter at Brighton, I am familiar with his approach to the game.

"Liverpool is experiencing ups and downs but they still have a very significant team, while Manchester United is becoming what they once were.

"If I had to pick a location, I would prefer the Premier League to be my next stop. The truth is, though, that I'm in Brighton right now and am really present."
