'Very enthusiastic' :
Arsenal really want a 'terrible' 21-year-old player - Romano
Fabrizio Romano has announced on Twitter that Mikel Arteta's Arsenal are serious about signing Moises Caicedo from Brighton Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.
The Italian journalist says that despite not signing Caicedo from Premier League rivals Brighton in the January transfer window, Arsenal are still committed to the 21-year-old Ecuador international.
Arsenal had offers for the youngster rejected by Brighton midway through the season.
Caicedo has since signed a new contract but it appears Arsenal are still determined to sign the youngster, who has been described by Brighton teammate Adam Webster as "amazing" and "incredible" on the page Official website of the club in April 2022.
Transfer is possible
In our opinion, Arsenal could sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton and Hove Albion during the summer transfer window.
Yes, the youngster has put pen to paper on a new contract but it won't affect Arsenal if he makes a big offer.
We know that the Gunners' final offer of £70m for the midfielder was rejected by Brighton during the January transfer window.
So chances are Arsenal will have to make a bigger and better offer in the summer of 2023. At this point, of course Brighton won't want to sell any of their best players, but if the Gunners are willing to spend big then the Seagulls could benefit from Caicedo.
