Revealing highlights of the week honoring World Cup heroes

WHAT HAPPENED? The head of the Argentine Football Association revealed in a tweet that the center, formerly known as Casa de Ezeiza, will be called 'Lionel Andres Messi' from March 25. The revival of the national team credits a star-studded international career arguably the greatest of all time, topped, of course, by the World Cup trophy in Qatar.

Saturday's reveal concludes a week of tribute to the efforts of Messi and his colleagues in the Gulf nation. The Albiceleste players were given a hero's welcome ahead of Thursday night's international friendly against Panama, and even had time to recreate Emi Martinez's crude Golden Glove celebration.

The newly named 'Lionel Andres Messi' team also ended an important week for the 35-year-old on a personal level, having celebrated 800 goals in that game in Panama, and in a style some.

WHAT FUTURE FOR Messi? The Argentina captain will once again lead his side in a friendly against Curacao on Monday night before returning to the club against Paris Saint-Germain, where rumors of a return to Catalonia have not disappeared. .

Where should Lionel Messi play next season? Thank you for the vote.

Aston Villa-linked Ibrahim Sangare has reportedly been suggested to some of the Premier League's top clubs.

Villa was linked with PSV midfielder Eindhoven last summer, as well as Leicester City. At that time, Sangare stayed in the Netherlands and signed a five-year contract with the Eredivisie team.

However, a recent report from 90min claims Sangare's agent has 'warned' Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea about his potential availability before the summer. The 25-year-old is said to be looking for a new challenge and is "ready to try his hand".

Currently under contract at PSV until 2027, the midfielder is said to have a €37m release clause included in his contract. However, the club are said to be 'ready' to cash in on him amid high interest rates.

Meanwhile, PSV boss Ruud van Nistelrooy is a fan of the player's attributes. "Obviously he can handle [Premier League]," he said. “I challenge him because I think Ibrahim can reach the top in England.

"He would also be great in Italy or Spain. I see players in his position there and I think Ibrahim will definitely try his luck at this level."
