Folarin Balogun, a 21-year-old star for Arsenal, is deciding between the USMNT and England for his international future.

Gareth Southgate has spoken out against Folarin Balogun's exclusion from the senior England team for the international break and provided an update on his situation with the Three Lions.

With 17 goals and exceeding Lionel Messi and Neymar in the charts, the Arsenal loanee has had a standout season in France with Stade de Reims under social media star Will Still. Although Balogun, 21, would not have been the only young player in England's squad, the forward has not yet been selected for the senior team.

"We've talked while he's out here taking a break and doing some training. So sure, he just needs to take it easy for the remainder of his journey." Balogun has been seen in Orlando, not far from the United States' training facility for this week.

Hudson continued, "It's been fantastic because it's been a chance for us just to share about our program, who we are, and what we do. "And that is all, I hope we have another opportunity to talk to him. So meeting him was enjoyable, and I also knew a number of the individuals who chatted with him."

Southgate opened up about Balogun and his future, noting that he had fellow Hale End product Eddie Nketiah to add to the group of forwards he had at his disposal "The player must decide where his heart truly lies. If he believes he can force his way into our group, is he willing to wait a little while for an opportunity? Because we will try out young players, as everybody who has followed us will know.

"As a result, we cannot simply bring someone up to the first team because we don't want him to play elsewhere."

We like Flo, the England manager said in comparison to the position taken with Brentford attacker Toney. We have to compare those goals to Ollie Watkins or Ivan Toney, for example, because he has obviously not yet had a chance in the Premier League. Or Eddie Nketiah, who has made the most of his opportunity at Arsenal.

"I know there will be offers since 80% of our players may now play for more than one nation, and we are not conceited enough to think that everyone will want to come play for England. We need to give them a sense of belonging and desire.

What you say ultimately doesn't matter. Some individuals are patient and want to see things through and are prepared to wait a little while, whilst others want it instantly, and I can completely understand that, if you cannot offer them the opportunity right away.

According to my knowledge of historical precedent, this has occasionally backfired and been quite beneficial for the players. Players in other nations are banned at 16 or 17 and then vanish. In the end, I believe that as a player, you should support yourself, but you must eventually decide.

"I can't give him that this week, but we'd like him to give it some time. If he progresses the way he is and keeps developing, there will be opportunities for him. If we did, it wouldn't be fair to Ivan Toney, who has scored the goals he has in the Premier League, in my opinion.
