After surgery for acute appendicitis, Phil Foden will miss Manchester City's Premier League match against Liverpool on Saturday.


Prior to Sunday's Euro 2024 qualifier against Ukraine, the 22-year-old left the England squad, and City stated that "it is uncertain at this stage how long he will be unavailable for." 


At 12.30 on Saturday, City will play host to Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium in an effort to close the eight-point gap between themselves and Arsenal atop the Premier League.
