The new FIFA World Ranking is out. Surprisingly, Brazil is still the best national team in the world of international football. The South American country was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup 2022 but retained the top spot. FIFA World Cup 2022 Champion Argentina is the second best national team in the world.



France ranks third in the rankings. The European nation was beaten on penalties by Argentina in the 2022 FIFA World Cup final after the two teams drew 3-3 after extra time.


Fourth on the list, Belgium. The European nation had a bad opening match at the 2022 FIFA World Cup but still retained their place in the top 5. England are the fifth best national team in the world. They were eliminated by France in Qatar 2022 but reached the final of Euro 2020 before losing to Italy. Sixth on the list, the Netherlands. They were followed by Croatia, who lost to Argentina in the semifinals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup but then won 2-1 against third-placed Morocco. Italy is eighth on the rankings, with Portugal and Spain making the top 10.


The magic team of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Morocco is the 11th best team in the world and the best in Africa. Tunisia is 30th on the rankings, Cameroon is 33rd, Nigeria is 35th and Algeria is 40th.

Chelsea striker Kai Havertz is the latest Chelsea player to give up international duty.



The German national team has confirmed that Havertz will miss their second game of the international break due to illness.


Havertz started Germany's friendly against Peru the other night, scoring a goal and missing a second-half penalty in a 2-0 win.


The statement from the German national team reads as follows:

"Kai Havertz has returned to the national team due to illness, while Nico Schlotterbeck will also miss Germany's match against Belgium on Tuesday due to a thigh problem. Get well soon guys.


Havertz is the second Chelsea player to retire from international football after Reece James withdrew from the England squad through injury.
