According to recent reports, Mason Greenwood called Cristiano Ronaldo "dead" and was not afraid to "call team-mates s*** to their faces."

The Manchester United attacker reportedly received a verbal reprimand from club authorities for his scathing criticism of Ronaldo.

The Crown Prosecution Service announced in February that the case against Greenwood, 21, would be dropped. As a result, Greenwood is no longer playing or training for United.

In January 2022, he was accused of attempting to rape a woman, assault resulting in actual bodily damage, and using coercive or controlling behavior. Nevertheless, the CPS acknowledged last month that there was no longer a chance for a conviction since key witnesses had left the case and new information had come to light.

The Athletic also claims that when Greenwood was younger, he caused problems by 'brutally' calling out teammates who didn't impress him.

He knew he was a good player and was cutting, according to a source, and he wasn't afraid to tell someone they were s***. You might think, "Can't be talking like that," when you hear that.

In response to his perceived decline, he also labeled Ronaldo, a future United teammate, "dead," which is slang for "finished," prompting officials to 'correct' him as part of a plan to help him become less immature.

In times of conflict in training, Greenwood reportedly threatened to join the Red Devils' fierce rivals Man City.

After the allegations against him were dropped, the player from Bradford said: "I am relieved that this matter is now over." I want to express my gratitude to my family, friends, and loved ones for their support.

Then, in response, United released a statement that read: "Manchester United notes the Crown Prosecution Service's decision that all charges against Mason Greenwood have been dismissed."

The club will now carry out its own procedure before deciding what to do next. We won't say further until that procedure is finished.

Greenwood, who has one England cap from 2020, is still under contract at Old Trafford through the summer of 2025, although it is unknown when or if he will ever play again for United or in the professional game in general.

Another source claims that he would 'run through a brick wall' to play for the Red Devils once more.
