She meet Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo and the 1st Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House to progress with talks which are of benefit to the Ghanaian society and Africa. The US has been of tremendous support to the Ghanaian economy, which has seen our country far to where it is today. Ghana became an ally of the USA following its independence from the British, and joined became an ally with the US and its other ally’s like Germany, Britain army and etc. The US and it’s ally’s have supported the Ghanaian economy financially giving out over $100m to support the economy, the US has help Ghana militarily by supporting troops with ammunition and training at some camps in the country to strengthen the country’s military forces.
The President of the Republic of Ghana his excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo, on welcoming the US Vice President stated how Ghana is proud to have her here and how it will help boost our economy. The President thanked her and her government so as the US President for all the support they have given Ghanaians through out our friendship.
The Vice President of the US, also replied by saying how happy she is to be in Ghana and made it known that her main purpose her is to strengthen their relationship with African countries and Ghana was the first country she could think of visiting. This historic visit would surely go down in history books, but Ghanaian’s seems to be asking a lot of questions like why is she here is it for the President to accept the LGBTQ he is being forced to accept or here to strengthen our ties. As a Ghanaian what do you think of her visit.
