President Akuffo-Addo has made his stand on LGBTQ clear but it seems the US Vice President on her visit to Ghana is not just about strengthening relationships but enforcing us to accept LGBTQ is also her target. The US Vice President and President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Danqauh Akuffo-Addo at the flagstaff house went into a speech on the purpose of this visit, an a journalist asked the President of Ghana and the Vice President of the US on hearing Ghana has accepted LGBTQ. The President’s response was simple and seems not to be in the favor of the US Vice President and her country.

It’s in Parliament!

President Ghana Nana ADDO made it clear few years ago when asked about LGBTQ, on his visit to the US by CNN. His response was praised by Ghanaians since Ghana is not accepting such barbaric act in our country. Ghanaians thought that was just the end of we hearing LGBTQ but today the US Vice President on her visit to Ghana made that a priority saying, human rights is very important to her and therefore she stands with the LGBTQ community. The Ghanaian President came in and answered saying, “ The bill is in parliament and therefore nothing has been passed on it, so he can’t give any declarations until it’s approved or denied by government then he can back the decision of parliament. This happens to be the first question asked by a New York Times journalist.

Why Ghana would not accept LGBTQ.

The LGBTQ policy is first of all against the moral values of the country and our culture as Africans, 90% of Ghanaians when asked to vote would surely not agree to this barbaric bill. The parliament on the other hand have already made their stand on the bill saying, Ghana wouldn’t accept the rise of LGBTQ community.
