Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United under a cloud in November after scandalous interview with Piers Morgan
Cristiano Ronaldo reacts as Portugal easily won against Luxembourg
Cristiano Ronaldo showed off a new celebratory style incorporating Manchester United's 'nap position' during Sunday's 6-0 win over Luxembourg.
Ronaldo first opened the celebration when he scored against Everton in October. This is understood to be a reference to how the Portuguese great slept when the Red Devils arrived at games.
In November, the 38-year-old left Old Trafford after a controversial interview with Piers Morgan, where he criticized United, Ten Hag, the Glazers and former team-mates Gary Neville and Wayne Rooney. Since then, Ronaldo has signed with Saudi side Al Nassr and appears to have ditched 'celebrating the nap' in favor of the iconic 'Siu' he coined during his time at Real Madrid. However, the 38-year-old started another celebration in Sunday's win over small European side Luxembourg. After the opening goal in the 9th minute, Ronaldo began to celebrate with 'Siu' before returning to the 'nap' position when he landed.
While he may have left the Theater of Dreams in the Dark, until recently, Ronaldo chose not to comment further on his departure. However, in the press conference before the match against Liechtenstein, the striker hinted about leaving.
I said:
"Sometimes you have to go through certain things to know who's with you. I have no problem saying I've had a bad career, but there's no time for regrets.

"Life goes on for better or worse, that's part of my growing up. When we're at the top of a mountain, we often can't see what's underneath.
"I'm better prepared now and learned this is important because I've never been through this, like a few months ago. I'm a better man now."
