3 ways Real Madrid can solve the right-back problem - a courtesy of the Brazilian national team

Although Carlo Ancelotti is backing Dani Carvajal 'at all costs', it is clear the right-back has been out of form for too long. The club's veteran player can perform as well in the final stages of the season as he did last year - or maybe not.

Many Real Madrid fans have been unimpressed with Carvajal's recent form, with his performance against Scotland on Tuesday also said to have raised doubts within the club's coaching staff.

Here's what Los Blancos can do to fix the right-back problem that has arisen.

first. New player registration

Real Madrid can only choose one winger this summer. Reece James, Joao Cancelo, Juan Foyth and Davide Calabria are on the club's shortlist, according to the latest report from Diario AS.

The problem is that a tested right-back these days is very expensive - and cementing that position will not be a priority for Real Madrid, who are busy negotiating for Jude Bellingham and Josko Gvardiol.

2. Play Militao at right-back

It's something Carlo Ancelotti has tried twice this season, both times against Villarreal. The first test was average, the second was successful as Militao defended impressively and scored.

In the Brazilian national team, placing Eder Militao on the wing is a more common decision. Sometimes he really thrives there both in defense and in support.

Don't forget that David Alaba will soon have to compete for a starting spot, so Ancelotti will have to decide who will play in his defence – and in what position.

3. Play Vinicius Tobias till the end of the season

The 19-year-old is considered a very talented winger and is also a regular starter at Raul's Castilla. This season, he has 5 assists in 32 appearances.

A fan by the name of ReyesDeBernabeu on Twitter sees playing Tobias as a win-win situation for the team and the club heads.

"What do we lose by throwing Vinicius Tobias in a couple of games? He couldn't be worse than Carvajal and the championship was lost anyway. We also have to decide whether to activate the buy-out clause for him. Shall we do it just by judging him on Castilla?"

If you were in Ancelotti's position, what would you do now?

One of the last statements from the governor of Bali, who announced that Israel's presence in the tournament would not be welcome, was decisive for FIFA's decision.
