Julian Nagelsmann is one of Tottenham's top management targets as they search for a replacement for Antonio Conte, but it doesn't look like he's been oversold at Spurs as a club.
Dean Jones says the German really wants to lead Spurs but Nagelsmann is well aware that it's not the best move of his career.
Indeed, according to talkSPORT, Nagelsmann believes he will take a step back in his career if he finds himself in charge of Spurs.

There's no nice way to say this, but he's right.
With all due respect to Tottenham, the transition from managing Bayern Munich to managing Spurs is a step backwards, there are no two paths. Bayern Munich is one of the biggest clubs in the world. They have won the league title every year for the past 10 years and have also lifted two Champions League trophies in that time.
Of course, no Tottenham fan needs to be reminded that Spurs haven't won any trophies in that time.
To put it bluntly, Nagelsmann would take a step back if he joined Spurs, but honestly, he's unlikely to take a step forward from this point on.
He's just been sacked - which is sure to send his shares plummeting, and to be fair, only a handful of clubs in world football are seen as a believable step up from Bayern in every case - Real Madrid and Barcelona, ???and even then you can make arguments against those points. Just because Nagelsmann thinks Spurs will quit doesn't necessarily mean the 'remarkable' manager won't take the job.
He will be well aware of his current situation after being sacked by Bayern and he probably knows he will have to take a step back in his next job, and that also means he will end up at Spurs.
