Tottenham confirm the latest Hugo Lloris injury while waiting for the Champions League
Tottenham received an important boost during a difficult week for the club.
Spurs returned to the Premier League at Everton on Monday night, more than a week after finally confirming the departure of Antonio Conte.
Cristian Stellini has been appointed as the club's caretaker manager for the final 10 games of the season as Spurs battle to keep their spot in the Premier League top four.
The club remains unclear whether director of football Fabio Paratici will be allowed to resume his role until an appeal against his 30-month ban is made next month.
On the field, Spurs lead fifth-placed Newcastle by two points, but Eddie Howe's men are two games behind. They entered the international break after a disappointing 3-3 draw with bottom team Southampton despite taking a two-goal lead with less than 20 minutes to go on the south coast.
The good news, however, is that the club have confirmed that Hugo Lloris has returned to training.
The goalkeeper injured his knee in the win over Manchester City in February but has now joined his teammates at Hotspur Way.
While it's unclear if the World Cup winner will join Goodison Park, Lloris' return is a welcome sight for Spurs.

Tottenham have opened talks with Barcelona over the signing of a player who is believed to become their first confirmed arrival in the summer 2023 transfer window.
There's a lot going on at Spurs at the moment, with the club parting ways with Antonio Conte this week. The departure of the Italian coach - just 16 months after his arrival - means the club are now on the hunt for a fourth boss in less than three to four years.
Conte leaves with the club in fourth place and still has the chance to qualify for next season's Champions League. However, with Newcastle and Liverpool under strain, caretaker manager Cristian Stellini will need a positive response from his players. However, the search for his successor was well underway. Julian Nagelsmann remains the favorite, although competition for the former Bayern Munich manager is fierce. Additionally, he wants a "reflection period" away from the game, making his date possible only from the summer.
However, they have other options, with former coach Mauricio Pochettino also among those pursuing.
Whichever he chooses, the new manager will inherit an extremely talented team. Indeed, Conte was allowed to spend a whopping £200m during his time in charge of Tottenham.
And one of the deals he has now looks set to be made permanent this summer.
Indeed, Clement Lenglet arrived at the club in July on a season-long loan from Barcelona.
The deal did not include a purchase option but Barcelona's desire to move the player forward was well-documented.
Barcelona ready to sell Clement Lenglet to Spurs
Indeed, with Eric Garcia, Andreas Christensen, Jules Kounde and Ronald Araujo on their books, they are blessed with central defenders. In addition, they are also set to announce the signing of Inigo Martinez from Athletic Bilbao on a free transfer to further improve their options.
As a result, Lenglet was informed that he had no future at Barcelona.
Now, according to Sport, Lenglet has 'convinced' Tottenham to make the transfer permanent. Therefore, chairman Daniel Levy has opened talks with officials of the Catalan giants to finalize the signature of the French player.
It is understood Barcelona will not object to Tottenham either, with a figure of just £12.3m (€14m) being discussed. And the report claims the talks are progressing rapidly, with the movement 'moving' rapidly
Lenglet played 27 games for Spurs, scoring his first goal against Marseille in the Champions League.
More comfortable on the left of a three-man defender, Lenglet's form for Spurs has been at least lethargic. However, buying him for just £12.3m is fully justified based on his experience in the game.
Whoever the Tottenham head coach is next, he expects Lenglet to improve further in his second season in England.
And the Frenchman hopes to become a permanent part of the team under the new man.
