Liverpool will be looking to go a long way to securing a place in the Premier League top four when they take on Manchester City on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp's side have been fighting for the title for the past few seasons but this season they face a battle for next season's Champions League.

The Red Devils are currently sixth in the table, seven points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

After a disappointing campaign, it looks like Liverpool will strengthen their squad this summer.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool and rivals Manchester United are both interested in Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka. The 23-year-old has impressed in the German top flight this season with 24 Bundesliga appearances.

However, his performances have not gone unnoticed and the report claims that the player has turned down several contract extension offers from his current side.

Ndicka is said to be leaving Frankfurt this summer

Ndicka's current contract with Frankfurt expires this summer, meaning he will leave the club on a free form at the end of the season if an agreement cannot be reached by that time.

The 23-year-old former France Under-21 international joined his current club from French side Auxerre in 2018 and has since made 174 appearances for Frankfurt.

It is also expected that Liverpool and United will look to strengthen their defensive options this summer, and Ndicka seems to be an option for both clubs. The Red Devils could sell Harry Maguire, who has struggled to get game time this season following the arrival of Lisandro Martinez.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will be looking for a new centre-back, with Joe Gomez continuing to struggle with injury.

Cameroon international Joel Matip could also leave Anfield this summer, with his contract expiring at the end of next season.

I used to pretend to be Cristiano Ronaldo - Kauro Mitoma

Brighton & Hove Albion's Kaoru Mitoma has praised Cristiano Ronaldo's dribbling skills, revealing that he imitated the five-time Ballon d'Or winner as a child.

The 25-year-old winger has been Brighton's standout player this season, scoring nine goals and providing six assists in 27 games. His performances have attracted interest from big clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal.

In an interview with Brighton's official YouTube channel, Mitoma spoke about his admiration for Ronaldo and how he emulates the Portuguese star's dribbling skills. “For overseas players, I used to imitate Cristiano Ronaldo’s dribbling as a kid,” he said. Ronaldo is considered by many to be one of the greatest players of all time and is known for his exceptional dribbling ability, which has been a key feature of his play throughout his career.

Mitoma's admission highlights Ronaldo's influence on a generation of young players as they continue to learn from his skills and techniques on the pitch.

While Mitoma continues to impress in the Premier League, it remains to be seen whether he will follow in Ronaldo's footsteps and move to one of the biggest clubs in the league. For now, however, his focus will be on helping Brighton achieve their goals for the season and continue to develop their play.
