LA LIGA'S 10 MOST VALUABLE PLAYERS REVEALED: ALL OF THEM PLAY FOR BARCA OR REAL MADRID

Transfermarkt has announced the top 10 most valuable La Liga players following recent market updates. It is here.

2. Pédri - 100 million euros

4.Gavi - 90 million euros

6. Rodrygo - 80 million euros

It seems Transfermarkt is using age to discriminate as there are three other players worth 60 million euros - Frenkie de Jong, Ousmane Dembele and Thibaut Courtois - but all are bigger than Kounde in 10th place.

Interestingly, the top 10 (or rather the top 13) is made up entirely of Real Madrid and Barcelona players, with Los Blancos having more names on the list.

The next player on the list who is not from one of these clubs is Mikel Oyarzabal, who is valued at 50 million euros.

That's obviously not a good sign for the tournament, but Javier Tebas doesn't care.

Analysis:

Can Barcelona make another Robert Lewandowski-style signing this summer?

Barcelona plan to stay active in the transfer market this summer, despite the current financial situation forcing them to significantly reduce their wage bill ahead of next season.

As a result, large financial transactions will be extremely difficult, with free money transfers being targeted first. Inigo Martinez is expected to sign in the next few weeks after confirming the Financial Fair Play will clear the deal, while Ilkay Gundogan has been closely linked.

Vitor Roque is another possible signing, although his deal will be a loan deal with a mandatory buy option for next summer. Barcelona are confident of completing a deal, although Arsenal are believed to be leading the way in the race to sign the Brazil international.

Barcelona's financial situation will likely hinder the signing of a right-back this summer, but there are rumors that a new left-winger could be pursued in the transfer window. Radio Catalunya (via Sport) reports that the Blaugrana are looking for a 'super' left-winger, with three numbers set in place:

Heung-Min Son, Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah.

Any deal would be of the same kind as Robert Lewandowski signed for Bayern Munich last summer. The Polish forward has signed for 45 million euros plus add-ons, and has proven himself to be a huge success this season. Salah is a name that can be thrown away immediately. The Egyptian striker plays on the right rather than the left, so he would not be a suitable signing, even before the financial side of any potential deal is considered.

However, his Liverpool team-mate, Diaz, is the one to do. The Colombia international is having a good start to his career at Merseyside but has had to miss several months due to injury. He is a very interesting winger who will definitely improve Barcelona. With Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez having joined Liverpool, Diaz's reputation may have plummeted this season, which could pave the way for a possible departure this summer. However, Liverpool will likely demand a hefty fee that could spoil any chances.

Son is another that would be a great addition to Barcelona. The South Korean international has impressed Tottenham Hotspur in recent seasons, although he has stuttered this campaign, which could see him leave this summer.

Again, a lot will depend on the finances, but Spurs will likely demand a lower fee than Liverpool would charge Diaz, with an approximate fee possibly similar to what Barcelona paid for Diaz. Lewandowski last summer. It's still not a smart move, though, even though Son will significantly improve Barcelona's options on the left flank. The club's financial situation is extremely precarious, and with Gavi and Ronald Araujo still unregistered as first-team contracts, a blockbuster deal could keep them from being registered.

A more likely deal for Barcelona this summer would be Lionel Messi, although again that is highly unlikely due to the club's financial problems. Any Messi, Salah, Diaz or Son would be a luxury signing, but at least in the case of the latter two, they will fulfill the needs of Xavi Hernandez in the first team.
