Mason Mount is interested in playing for Bayern Munich and working with Thomas Tuchel again after the German club last week hired the former Chelsea manager. Because of the uncertainty surrounding Mount's future and the fact that his contract expires at the end of the upcoming season, he might be traded this summer.

If there is no sign of progress in the negotiations for a new agreement, Chelsea does not want to be in a position where they risk losing the midfielder to another team on a free transfer and may be forced to sell. Manchester United and Liverpool, two teams considered to be in the running to sign Mount, are keeping a careful eye on the situation.

The England international is popular with Juventus as well, so Tuchel's move to Bayern is an intriguing development. The German played some of Mount's greatest football while he was at Chelsea. Mount, who was Chelsea's leading scorer last season, provided the assist for Kai Havertz to score the game-winning goal in the 2021 Champions League final.

Tuchel frequently praised Mount in his remarks. This summer, Bayern, who are looking to hire Anthony Barry from Chelsea for their coaching staff, might make a bid.

The reigning German champions have not yet decided on their summer transfer strategy, and Tuchel is not yet considering additions despite having a wide range of possibilities in offensive midfield. His primary concern is preparing his team to play Manchester City in the Champions League and compete against Borussia Dortmund for the championship.

After spending more than £500 million on acquisitions since being acquired by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital last summer, Chelsea has to raise money. The club, which reported losses of £121 million during the 2021–22 season, will be looking to comply with Financial Fair Play requirements.

One of Chelsea's lowest-paid players, Mount, might fetch at least £50 million. His selling would not be well received by his supporters because he graduated from the institution. Although talks have halted and Chelsea hopes to resume them, the club is anxious to avoid the uncertainty of keeping players in their contract's last year. Next season's finish will also mark the end of Mateo Kovacic's contract. The midfielder was one of those mentioned in Manchester City's transfer

Because the previous ownership failed to reach an agreement on new contracts with the center-backs, Boehly and Clearlake were helpless to prevent Antonio Rüdiger and Andreas Christensen from leaving on free transfers last summer.

In order to improve their midfield, Liverpool is currently looking to sign Mount. They might have to contend with United, who seeks extra depth in the midfield. Jude Bellingham, who is most likely to depart Dortmund, is seen by United as a more expensive alternative than Mount.
