Mikel Arteta is now just one manager of the month award away from matching Jürgen Klopp's record of five in a single season in the Premier League.

Following an undefeated March, Mikel Arteta has been crowned the Premier League manager of the month for the fourth time this year.

The Premier League's top team, Arsenal, accepted the award as they celebrated a flawless month that saw them increase their lead over Manchester City to eight points. Bukayo Saka, who was instrumental in that streak, won the player of the month award.

In their four league games in March, which included triumphs against Everton, Bournemouth, Fulham, and Crystal Palace, the Arsenal scored 14 goals while only giving up three.

After defeating Everton 4-0, Reiss Nelson's injury-time winner gave Arsenal a thrilling 3-2 victory over relegation-threatened Bournemouth.

Before to the international break, they easily defeated Crystal Palace 4-1 after dominating Fulham 3-0 in the first half.

With Saka winning player of the month for March after scoring three goals and dishing out two assists, the north London team has won all three awards.

Arteta competed against Roberto De Zerbi of Brighton & Hove Albion, Unai Emery of Aston Villa, and Pep Guardiola of City for the honor this month.

Arteta has received the honor four times this season, previously in August, November, and January.

The Spaniard is currently just one accolade short of Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool's record of five wins throughout the 2019–20 campaign.

The Gunners had a successful month in March, and earlier on Friday, winger Bukayo Saka was named the division's Player of the Month.

For this month's prize, Arteta competed against Pep Guardiola, Unai Emery, and Roberto De Zerbi, but the Spaniard triumphed following an unblemished month that saw four victories and 14 goals scored across four games.

Arteta has won the prize three times in the last four months, with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag snapping his streak last month.
