Arsenal host Leeds United at Emirates Stadium on Saturday and the Gunners have received some bad news ahead of this important match.

Arsenal fans have been in excellent form in recent times as they look to win their first Premier League title in 17 years. However, ahead of Saturday's game against Leeds United, they may have to deal with a key player sidelined through injury.

Reports from Football.london suggest William Saliba will miss the game because of the injury he sustained during Arsenal's Europa League loss to Sporting Lisbon two and a half weeks ago. The Frenchman had to withdraw from the match due to injury, and now it is clear that he will not be selected for the match against Leeds United. That would be a blow to Mikel Arteta, who has depended on Saliba for his stellar defensive skills. He has started 27 matches for Arsenal this season, helping them maintain the top of the table with 69 points from 28 games.

William Saliba of Arsenal is challenged by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Chelsea during the Premier League match between Chelsea FC and Arsenal FC taking place at Stamford Bridge on November 6, 2022 in London, England.

For many Arsenal fans, the news of Saliba's injury is unsettling, especially given the team's current form and the fact that they are in the title chase. When things settled, the Gunners topped the table, but they were trailed by second-placed Manchester City, with 61 points plus one game less. Despite the defeat, Arsenal fans are still hopeful the team can still win against Leeds United on Saturday. With or without Saliba, the Gunners have plenty of quality players who can make a difference on the pitch. Furthermore, the team has shown that they can adapt to injuries and personnel changes throughout the season.

As Arsenal continue their bid to win the Premier League, fans will be watching in anticipation of how this latest injury will affect the team. But one thing is for sure:

No matter what, the Gunners will fight to the end to win the top spot.
