Manchester United are hoping they can bring in Marcus Rashford for Sunday's Premier League clash with Newcastle, with the striker pulling out of the England squad last week.
The Reds march to St. James' Park in hopes of cementing their place in the top flight. Erik ten Hag's side reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup with a win over Fulham in their final game earlier this month. Moreover, United also won a place in the quarter-finals of the Europa League after defeating Real Betis in the round of 16.
United, who drew 0-0 with Southampton in their last Premier League match, will be without Casemiro in their clash with Newcastle, with the Brazilian forward being banned for another three games. However, Ten Hag could be fueled by Rashford's return to fitness, with Raphael Varane also likely to return after missing out on the win over Fulham.
