Despite the fact that Marcus Rashford has scored over a third of Manchester United's goals this season, Erik ten Hag does not believe that Rashford is a burden.

Manager Erik ten Hag thinks that in addition to top player Marcus Rashford, Manchester United has adequate goal scorers.

In all competitions, Rashford has scored 27 of United's 88 goals this year, with Bruno Fernandes coming in second with just 10.

Injuries have limited Anthony Martial's playing time, while Wout Weghorst, a January signing, hasn't lived up to expectations, scoring just twice since moving to Old Trafford.

However, the Red Devils ended their six-year trophy drought in February when they defeated Newcastle United in the EFL Cup final. They now appear to be on track to finish in the top four of the Premier League and qualify for the Champions League the following season.

Ten Hag believes his team poses enough of a danger to back the 25-year-old despite Rashford's greater goal-scoring impact than his teammates, though he did not completely rule out adding more attacking talent in preparation for the upcoming campaign.

According to Ten Hag, "I think we have players like Bruno, Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial, Scott McTominay, and Antony." "There are certainly enough players on our team who are capable of scoring goals.

"I work on the upcoming season in the background, behind the scenes. The best chance of scoring more goals, though, is to maintain refining the way we play this season while also making sure everyone is accessible.

McTominay had an outstanding international break with Scotland, scoring four goals in victories over Cyprus (3-0) and Spain (2-0), both at Hampden Park.

With Weghorst struggling since signing on loan from Burnley, McTominay might be a viable alternative to start up front for the Red Devils given his excellent goal scoring form and the fact that he played as a striker for United's youth sides.
