Entertainment journalist and Host of Class Showbiz on CTV, Samuel Atuobi Baah popularly known as Sammy Flex has made his opinion known about a song from Davido’s new album.
Davido’s new album titled ‘Timeless’ has been currently released and it boasts of 17 songs. After listening to Davido’s song titled ‘Na Money’ which features Angelique Kidjo as well as The Cavemen, he has indicated that the featuring of Angelique Kidjo is not a guarantee of a Grammy win.
Even though he did not explain his statement further , it is most possible that people would think that the song is not up to the right standard to be able to win a Grammy. In as much as that could be a possibility, the reality on the ground is that no artiste can be guaranteed a Grammy win by the mere fact that he or she has featured a Grammy award-winning artiste on a song .
Apart from ‘Na Money ‘ on the Timeless album , other songs on the album include Over Dem, Feel, Godfather ,In the Garden which features Morravey and Unavailable which features Musa Keys .
Other tracks on the album are BOP,E Pain Me, Away, Precision, Kante which features Fave and U(Juju). No Competition, Picasso, For the Road ,LCND and Champion Sound are also tracks on the Timeless album.
Interestingly , Ghanaian Reggae Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has also released the tracklist of his 5th Dimension album and he also featured Angelique Kidjo on one of the songs on the album.
The song in question is Manodzi and probably by sheer coincidence ,just like Davido, Stonebwoy also has 17 songs on his album. Davido’s Timeless album is currently but Stonebwoy’s 5th Dimension album is scheduled to be released on April 28,2023. On Stonebwoy's album , he has the song titled Activate which features Davido .
