Manchester City have won four Premier League titles under Pep Guardiola but are eight points behind Arsenal this season - and the Spaniard knows what he prefers when given the choice.
Pep Guardiola says he would trade Manchester City's winning experience for Arsenal's eight points at the top of the Premier League.
Although City have won four of the last five Premier League competitions, Guardiola insists experience will be nothing when the title race begins.
Guardiola said Arsenal are still in a key position to win the title, although only two of their players - former City duo Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus - have won it in the past. "I'd rather be in Arsenal's position than experience winning four Premier League titles in five years," said Guardiola.
“I would rather be in Arsenal's position in the Premier League than our position. The advantage is that they are 8 points ahead of us, that's the real advantage. The past is the past, the experience is insignificant. Absolutely nothing.
"When I hear a coach or a player say 'I have nothing to show, I have nothing to show', that's the most horrible sentence.
"You have to prove it every day - over and over again. The past is just the past. Remember when you were a grandfather? It's good, it's good. If people think "I have nothing to show" then no, you have to do it over and over, otherwise you have to retire.

Asked if the pressure to win their first title in nearly 20 years could come on Arsenal's inexperienced youngsters, Guardiola said:
"I don't think so, I don't believe it. They still have a lot of points to play, a lot of matches and a lot of things that can happen. "But given the consistency that Arsenal have shown this season [and the fact that they] have one game a week, outside the FA Cup and out of the Europa League. With one game a week you can have training. The middle is amazing and you can prepare yourself I have a feeling they won't lose that many points.
Guardiola will give 42-goal striker Erling Haaland until the last minute to prove fit for Saturday's clash with Liverpool, with the striker struggling to overcome a groin problem.
