Gregor Kobel had a nightmare game against top rivals Bayern Munich, with Borussia Dortmund being knocked out of the top of the Bundesliga table after the German's disastrous performance.
Gregor Kobel stinks in Der Klassiker
When Borussia Dortmund lost 4-2 to German giants Bayern Munich on Saturday, there was only one thing on the fans' lips after the clash at the top of the table.
When Thomas Tuchel first took control of the Bavarian side and returned to Germany to face his old side, he couldn't have asked for a better start to his tenure.
The former Chelsea manager couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the opener as Dayot Upamecano tried to spot a run by Leroy Sane, which looked pretty easy on the away keeper. But when Gregor Kobel broke the ball out of his box, he made little or nothing to do with the ball and ended up kicking it into the air again.
Even before the ball went to the end of the line in the 13th minute, the German goalkeeper hugged his head when Sane chased the ball and suddenly deviated from the post. But the mistake was just a sign of things to come as two goals from veteran Thomas Muller and one from Kingsley Coman put the home side up 4-0. Dortmund got two consolation goals thanks to an Emre Can penalty and a Donyell Malen extra-time goal.

Fans couldn't help but share their blunt opinions on Twitter about Kobel's stench.

“Kobel, this is unforgivable…”
"I keep dreaming over and over that Kobel actually cleared the ball," @RaeComm tweeted.
@Theconstokeke didn't hold back. They said:
"I was just watching Dortmund's game and Kobel should retire after this performance. Imagine you're building to play that title-defining game and your goalkeeper is shooting that man."
@Ross_UTD tweeted:
"Kobel God, that's one of the worst mistakes I've ever seen."
After Bayern's win, they top the Bundesliga with two points from 55, while Dortmund lag behind with 53. The weaker team Union Berlin is still in contention with 51 points after 26 matches played.
