By working with the University of Ghana Career & Counselling Center to plan a career week for the students, THE FBNBank has given greater significance to its commitment to empowering the youth.

The week's events included a career fair, a contest to design company logos, the decoded show, an industry-academia meeting, and the launch of a special student account called the XploreFirst Students' Account.

The Cedi Convention Centre served as the venue for this year's week, which had as its topic "Embracing Opportunities: Charting Your Career Path."

The seven-day programme began on March 27 and ran through March 30 in 2023.

The Director of Sports of the University of Ghana, Dr Bello Bitigu, the General Manager of ALX, Joshua Ghanem, and the Lead Derrick Crentsil, a consultant at La Lune Digital Ltd, and Kafui Dey, a TV host, professional master of ceremonies, and public speaking trainer.

The Career Week is intended to expose the participating students to options within the labour market, training, and internships, according to Dr Bridget Ben-Naimah, Director of the University of Ghana Career and Counselling Centre, who gave a welcoming address.

Moreover, she said, "students are expected to research networking possibilities and learn about the skills necessary for life beyond school.

The XploreFirst Students' Account was introduced by FBNBank as part of career week events and in keeping with its youth strategy. This account primarily gave account users future empowerment in addition to several number of other perks.

Students' Account for XploreFirst

Head of Retail Banking at the FBNBank, Allen Quaye, introduced the XploreFirst Students' Account and stated, "Our commitment to the students' cause and, to a greater extent, the fight for youth empowerment, has moved up to a new level with the introduction today of a unique student product, which is designed to offer special benefits to our younger brothers and sisters here and, most importantly, offer them a good foundation for the future.

The FBNBank XploreFirst Students Account, a savings account created for students between the ages of 16 and 30, is what I'd like to introduce to you.

The target group can use this account to save money for the future while also having access to top-notch financial services and receiving some exciting benefits, such as the chance to intern at FBNBank, regular invitations from the bank to events, and free use of their MasterCard for POS and online purchases.

This product, he added, "brings to life our brand promise to provide the Gold Standard of value and excellence to our clients and is a tribute to our dedication to continuing to place the kids at the core of what we constantly do."

He encouraged the students to get an FBNBank XploreFirst Students Account, which would provide enormous benefits for their future, and to become a part of the FBNBank family.
