The list of nominees for the second edition of the Ghana Music Awards Europe has been released at an exciting event in Accra.
The nominee announcement took place at the Airport View Hotel over the weekend and highlife artiste, Quarme Zaggy got nominated in two different categories.
Over the past years that Quarme Zaggy has been in the music industry, his contribution in making Highlife music recognized all the world has been immense and it therefore does not come as a surprise that he is nominated in the Highlife categories of most award schemes .
For the second edition of the Ghana Music Award Europe , Quarme Zaggy got nominated in the Highlife Artiste of the Year as well as the Highlife Song of the Year categories.
For the Highlife Artiste of the Year category, Quarme Zaggy is hopeful of winning the award even though the likes of Kwabena Kwabena, Kwaisey Pee, Akwaboah,Bisa K Dei, Kofi Kinaata,Fameye and Daddy Lumba are also in contention for the same award.
At least for Quarme Zaggy to find himself in the same category as Daddy Lumba, it goes a long way to prove that he is a force to reckon with. Considering the hardwork Quarme Zaggy puts in his music trade, it would not come as a surprise if he wins the award. Interestingly, Quarme Zaggy is very confident that he would win that category.
His song 'Galamsey' has also been nominated in the Highlife Song of the Year category. Considering the general public appeal as well as the enormous airplay 'Galamsey' has enjoyed so far, it is very possible that it can cause an upset so far as the Highlife Song of the Year category is concerned.The Ghana Music Awards -Europe would come alive on May 6,2023 in France at Salle Atrium Route De Cormeilles 95100 Argenteuil.
