Jurgen Klopp will 'send' a forgotten signing on loan this summer, with a clearance from Liverpool now potentially up to 10 appearances.
Three consecutive defeats since the 0-7 loss to Man Utd once again confirm that Liverpool's current squad is disintegrating.
An entirely new midfield is needed, although sources such as Fabrizio Romano have suggested that additions could also come in midfield.
Elsewhere, Liverpool are said to be pursuing Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams. The idea would be to sign a passionate young talent with a blazing pace who would present the Reds more of a threat and be brought on from the bench late in the game. But before Klopp and his recruiting team can embark on a full-blown rebuild, there will need to be plenty of exits to make room. According to various reports, this is exactly what is about to happen.
First, The Sun adds a new name to the list of people who will leave Anfield this summer - Calvin Ramsay.
The Scottish right-back was his first 4.2m signing from Aberdeen last summer. The 19-year-old arrived with the aim of strengthening Trent Alexander-Arnold after settling in Merseyside. However, his first campaign south of the border was marred by wounds.
As a result, Ramsay has been limited to just two first-team appearances and just seven finals (including the EFL Trophy and Premier League 2).
The end result was that Alexander-Arnold once again felt no pressure from those behind. James Milner and Joe Gomez were Klopp's alternatives when Alexander-Arnold was underperforming, although neither was a natural right-back.
Either way, The Sun reports that Klopp has determined Ramsay needs to be loaned out next season to ensure he gets the regular game minutes every developing youngster needs. Where he will go is yet to be speculated, although a move to a Championship side would make sense.
Mass clearance in Liverpool coming
Ramsay is leaving this summer, but he's not the only one.
Indeed, Roberto Firmino's departure as a free agent has been confirmed by the club. Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, of Fabrizio Romano, join him as players who will leave for no reason.
Vice-captain James Milner could also leave if Klopp's offer of a one-year extension is not heeded by decision makers at Liverpool. Elsewhere, third-choice goalkeeper Adrian is unfit for a new contract, while Football Insider reports that three central defenders could be sent off.
Rhys Williams, Nat Phillips and Joel Matip are the trio mentioned, with Williams lined up for a permanent switch at Blackpool.
Williams impressed on loan at Blackpool for the first half of the current season before being recalled in January.
Nat Phillips will likely demand a fee of around 12m, with West Ham and Newcastle among his pursuers.
Meanwhile, Matip is out of contract at the end of next season and making money when they can still this summer makes sense for Liverpool. An earlier report from FI claimed Liverpool could raise between 10m and 15m for the 31-year-old who has been in decline this season.
The last name that can bring the exit number to an even 10 is Arthur Melo. When his loan from Juventus expires, Liverpool are unlikely to activate their 37.5m buy option.
