Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, a presidential hopeful for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has assured party officials that if elected, he will guarantee that all party employees receive fair wages and implement a pension plan for party cadre and senior members.

On his campaign visit to the Volta region, Dr. Duffuor spoke with branch and constituency executives and declared, "We will establish party offices for every area and all constituencies across the country and compensate the workers and executives."

"We must respect the cadres who helped us establish the party."

What the majority of people are currently experiencing is unfair. "We should be able to implement a pension plan for cadres and the elderly so they can pay off their medical debt and maintain a respectable standard of living," Dr. Duffuor added.

The NDC would become stronger and more appealing as a result of these measures, he said, not just to the children and grandchildren of those involved but also to the majority of Ghanaians.

The former governor and finance minister visited the Central Tongu, North Tongu, South Tongu, Akatsi South, and Anlo seats on a three-day campaign trip in the Volta Region. His message of grassroots empowerment was well received by the crowds of excited delegates and supporters.

Structure of salaries

During his campaign, Dr. Duffuor also committed to creating a pay system for the party's executives in order to support their efforts on behalf of the party financially.

According to him, the remuneration system would be created to guarantee that NDC leaders were paid fairly and reasonably for their jobs while also guaranteeing the long-term viability of the party's finances.

"Our executives put forth a lot of effort to advance the principles and goals of the NDC, and they deserve to be adequately paid for it."

A crucial first step in honoring the efforts of our leaders and assuring their financial stability is the establishment of the wage structure, he stated.

According to Dr. Duffuor, the party's executives are its foundation, and he would see to it that they are fairly compensated for their labor.

"We think that this is the appropriate thing to do because we are devoted to the ideals of justice and equity," he said.

He claimed that the arrangement would give the executives the resources they need to keep working for the party and maintain its financial viability.

He said that the effort would also aid in luring and keeping brilliant people who were committed to furthering the NDC's principles.

Funding

According to Dr. Duffuor, the party would finance the pay structure using its own funds, making sure that the funding was long-term sustainable.

He said, "The financing will be evaluated on a regular basis to make sure that it is enough to maintain the compensation structure."
