Christian Eriksen's anticipated return from injury will provide Manchester United a boost just in time, but he won't be available for Brentford.

Manager Erik ten Hag has announced that Christian Eriksen will resume full training with Manchester United on Tuesday.

The international from Denmark has been out since January due to an ankle injury, but he still believes he will play before the season is out.

While Eriksen won't be able to play against his previous team, Brentford, on Wednesday, a comeback might be imminent.

In a news conference, Ten Hag stated, "He's not ready for tomorrow but he's returning to the pitch and into team training today, so we now have to see how quickly he can make improvement."

The persistent absence of Eriksen in the middle of the field is made more difficult by Casemiro's suspension. He will miss both the encounter on Wednesday and the game against Everton on Saturday after receiving a four-game suspension for his red card in the goalless draw with Southampton.

Ten Hag acknowledges that losing two players of such high caliber has an effect on the team, but he urged his team to rise up, emphasizing the importance of winning.

"They are both excellent athletes. Games will be decided at the midfield area. There is a definite [effect] when two quality players are absent, but you still have a team and must win without them "Added he.

After winning the EFL Cup in February, United has struggled in the Premier League, losing to Liverpool 7-0 and Newcastle 2-0 before and after the aforementioned draw with Saints. As a result, United has dropped to fifth after Tottenham's Monday draw with Everton.

Despite having two games in hand over Spurs while being equal on points with Newcastle, United's league troubles since ending its trophy drought at Wembley are cause for concern.

Ten Hag has a different perspective, pointing to the FA Cup quarterfinal victory over Fulham as proof that winning games against Premier League opponents is not difficult.
