Mauricio Pochettino is allegedly one of the names Chelsea is considering while looking for a new manager.

Gary Neville thinks Mauricio Pochettino is the best candidate to lead Chelsea.

Having fired Graham Potter less than seven months after he succeeded Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge, the Blues are currently looking for a new manager for the second time this season.

The final straw for Potter was Chelsea's loss to Aston Villa, which dropped the Blues into the bottom half of the Premier League rankings and put them far behind other teams in the race for European competition next season.

Potter's tenure in west London was marred by inconsistent play, and things didn't get any better even after Todd Boehly went on a massive spending binge in the January window.

Future spending is likely to be restricted as a result of those mid-season hires, which has complicated things somewhat. As a result, a new manager will probably have to play the hand he is dealt.

Neville contends that Pochettino, the previous manager of Tottenham, is the best choice because of his background in coaching younger players.

According to Boehly, Chelsea have completed their spending for the next three years, with the exception of adding a center forward, Neville said on Monday Night Football on Sky Sports.

"If they hire Zidane, Enrique, or Diego Simeone, they'll need an additional £300 million because some of the players they've already signed won't be to their liking.

"They need to choose a manager who will take over and get along with their young, inexperienced roster, and I believe that person is Mauricio Pochettino."

Harry Kane's penalty had given Spurs a 1-0 lead, but Lucas Moura's harsh challenge on Michael Keane resulted in him receiving a straight red card. Keane got up and scored a beautiful long-range goal in stoppage time to rescue a point for his team.

Antonio Conte eventually left the club after Spurs' last collapse against Southampton, as the Italian coach frequently questioned the group's attitude and capacity to handle pressure.
