The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Usmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, has received various food products and an unknown sum of money from the Bank of Africa in support of the Ramadan celebrations.

The supplies included a prayer mat, milk cartons, milo, bags of tea, and bags of sugar and rice in sacks.

Yesterday, the presentation was held at the National Chief Imam's Accra home.

Mukhtar Abbas, the bank's head of legal, stated that it has long been a custom for the organization to give donations to the Chief Imam during such joyous times.

He explained, "The goal is to assist him in fulfilling his spiritual and physical commitment to the community since, as we are all aware, the Chief Imam cooks and distributes meals to everyone in the community every day in this particular house.

He said that by donating the things, the bank was helping the Chief Imam fulfill his responsibility while also asking Allah to bless its employees, management, shareholders, the entire business, and the entire nation.

obligation to society

According to Mr. Abbas, the bank participates in both religious and nonreligious activities as part of its corporate social responsibility, including funding initiatives that promote women's empowerment, health, and charitable giving. He added that "we do a lot; it's just that occasionally"

He said that the organisation wanted to have a good effect because it wanted to give back to society in addition to producing money to pay its employees and shareholders dividends.

"All of this is significant since we are not an island and depend entirely on the generosity of the locals.

Thus, the same community in which we work must gain, and this is our widow's mite. We are also making sure to share the good fortune we have been given, Mr. Abbas stated.

Gratitude and prayer

The bank's staff members' lives as well as the institution's future were prayed for by the Chief Imam in the name of Allah.

Sheikh Armiyawo Shaibu, the Chief Imam's spokesman, expressed the Chief Imam's sincere thanks to the bank for recognising and helping him to manage the enormous obligations on his shoulders.

As the majority of them depend on the Chief Imam's assistance to break their fast, he explained, "This comes at a good moment, and the Chief Imam is thankful."
