Mr. Monkey wins a wife. A nice story.

Once upon a time there was a king called king lion, who had a very beautiful daughter. All the animals wanted to marry her. So she said that she would only marry the one who could bring her a tooth pulled out of the mouth of a leopard.

Many animals tried to bring what she asked for, and many were killed in the attempt. After a year had passed, clever Monkey was the only one who had not tried. The time has come for him to also try his luck. That night Mr. Monkey went deep into the forest. He found a place in the forest

and there he sat down and lit a big fire. When the fire was brighting, the wild animals in the forest came to sit by the fire to worm themselves. The leopard came last.

When the leopard came close to the fire, Mr. Monkey threw some green branches into the fire causing clouds of thick smoke into the air. The leopard began to choke and opened his mouth wide. Quickly Mr. Monkey picked up a heavy stick and knocked out one of the leopard's teeth. The leopard was very angry and snarled at Mr. Monkey.

"I am sorry Mr. Leopard" said Mr. Monkey quickly. "It was just an accident. I was trying to put another stick into the fire and the smoke got into my eyes. Please forgive me, I will never do such a thing again, I will go away before I have anymore accident, and I will take your teeth with me to help me remember to be careful always". The following morning, Mr. Monkey represented the leopard's tooth at king lion's palace and that same day,they all celebrated the marriage of Mr. Monkey and the beautiful lion princes. This is how Mr. Monkey got his wife. All of them danced.Thank you for reading.
