Sources have verified to 90min that former Spain and Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique has landed in England with his agency for negotiations with Chelsea.
Following Graham Potter's dismissal at the weekend, Chelsea is looking for a new head coach. Enrique has emerged as one of the front-runners, along with former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann and ex-Tottenham player Mauricio Pochettino.
Chelsea will meet with Enrique and his representatives, notably Ivan de la Pena, in person after initial contact through intermediaries.
Enrique, who resigned from his position with Spain after the World Cup finals in Qatar, has recently made it clear that he wants to work for the Premier League.
"To work there, I would like to go. I spend more time watching English football than Spanish. It's a very interesting league, and I'm not afraid to admit that I'd like to work there "said Enrique.
According to 90min, Enrique has also spoken with Tottenham, who are eager to speak with him about their open position.
Chelsea and Tottenham both wanted to talk with Nagelsmann, but unlike Enrique, the German has said he isn't quite sold on the concept being offered in north London.
According to Chelsea sources who spoke to 90min, meetings with Nagelsmann are anticipated for later this week.
Chelsea named Bruno Saltor as their interim manager while they looked for a permanent replacement. But, 90min is aware that their former manager Frank Lampard is being looked at as a possible caretaker to lead them to the season's end.

Graham Potter was let go by the Blues late on Sunday night as a result of a disastrous run of results that included a weekend loss to Aston Villa at home by a score of 2-0.
Co-owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital decided to remove Potter from his position when the team fell to 11th in the standings, and Bruno Saltor was given interim leadership.
