Although GES orders other year groups to observe Easter, SHS 1's vacation lasts until June 2023.

According to the Ghana Education Service (GES), all senior high and technical institutions will be closed starting on April 6 in observance of Easter.

The Service also informed senior high institutions operating under the Transitional Calendar that SHS 1 students will not resume classes until June 2023.

This was mentioned in a memo distributed to all of the nation's school administrators.

Dr. Kwabena Bempah Tandoh, the Deputy Director General of GES, reportedly instructed Regional Directors to make sure that Heads of Second Cycle Schools followed the order.
