Vinicius Junior has been urged by Ronald Araujo to "focus on playing" following a contentious El Clasico on Wednesday night.
Araujo and Vinicius were at the center of a contentious match on Wednesday night at Camp Nou, where 29 fouls were committed and a total of 11 yellow cards were issued.
In this Clasico, Vinicius scored the game's first goal in a crushing 4-0 victory in the Copa del Rey semifinal.
The Barça defender Araujo was quick to criticize Vinicius for his actions on Wednesday in an interview with Teledeporte after the game. He said: "I got a little hot because I was talking to people all the time. Although he is an excellent player, he must focus on his game. He will do better if he focuses solely on that.
"I always try to appreciate everyone, and I've always stated that he's a terrific player, but today I got a little heated because he wouldn't stop talking to and eyeing everyone.
"We're dejected. We hoped to compete for one more championship, but after losing 0-2 we drastically declined in the second half. Although the first half was outstanding, they scored against the flow of the game. The league, which is the most significant, must be pursued now.
Real Madrid's victory allowed them to erase a 1-0 first-leg deficit and go to the Copa del Rey final, where they will play Osasuna. It was also a victory that ended Barça's El Clasico winning streak, which had reached three as of Wednesday night.
Before the unrest on Wednesday night, Vinicius and Araujo had had several fights in El Clasico over the previous few years.
Before a minute-long sequence of loose grappling and friendly chats involving players from both teams began, Araujo was spotted pushing Vinicius.
