Frank Lampard made a sensational return to Chelsea on Thursday, taking over as interim manager at the club until the end of the season.
The former England captain will replace Bruno Saltor, who was responsible for his 0-0 draw with Liverpool on Tuesday night following the sacking of Graham Potter last weekend.
Lampard, who has made more than 640 appearances for Chelsea and led the club for 18 months a few years ago, will be in action against Wolves at Molineux on Saturday.
The likes of Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann have been touted as potential permanent nominees at the end of the season, but for now Lampard is in charge of Stamford Bridge.
Owner Todd Boley has spent more than £500m since he took charge of Chelsea last summer, and the American's spending is likely to continue this summer. Now the club seems to be eyeing one of last year's World Cup stars.
According to Football Insider, the West London side are considering a move for Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos.
Ramos is said to be a target for Chelsea this summer
The forward has been in sensational form for the Portuguese side this season, with 25 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.
His 17 league goals for Ramos helped bring Benfica to the top of Portugal in his league, but his performance did not go unnoticed.
Chelsea are said to be eyeing a bid for Napoli striker Viktor his Osimén, but Ramos could be a useful alternative for the Nigeria international, who costs over £105million. I think. At last year's Qatar World Cup, Ramos scored an amazing hat-trick to secure Portugal's place in the quarter-finals against Switzerland.
The 21-year-old also contributed to his 6-1 win, but could not prevent an elimination to Morocco in the next round.
Ramos' current contract with Benfica runs until 2026, with the Lisbon team in a dominant position in potential negotiations.
Benfica are said to be accepting an offer of around £70m for Ramos, who is also believed to be Manchester United's target, if he misses out on his main target this summer, Harry Kane.
