Laporta will ask the entire Barca team to accept next season's salary reduction - how much money will be saved with this

Relevo claim Barcelona are considering the possibility of asking their entire squad for a pay cut next season.

This is to help them partially offset the loss incurred by the move to Estadi Lluis Company during the Camp Nou redevelopment.

This would cost them more than 100 million euros in potential revenue loss, which is why the club are considering asking the players to defer wages.

Barca will also require players with whom they negotiate new contracts to accept lower wages for their new contracts.

If so, Blaugrana could save up to 70 million euros and cut heavy losses.

The former Barcelona player has made a bold statement about Carlo Ancelotti's future at Real Madrid.

Although Carlo Ancelotti has pledged allegiance to Real Madrid, it is very likely that the veteran Italian will have to leave the Santiago Bernabeu informally at the end of the season. Delighted by Brazil's interest in signing him as their next coach, Ancelotti has made it clear that the former AC Milan and Chelsea boss wants to honor his contract. it at Real Madrid.

Los Blancos once parted ways with Ancelotti after a disappointing season in 2015. Club president Florentino Perez decided to fire Ancelotti after the Italian military leader failed to win any major titles in the 2014-15 season. In his second stint at Real Madrid, the former Paris Saint Germain (PSG) coach led the La Liga giants to last year's UEFA Champions League glory.

The La Liga holders reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League during their title defense season. Real Madrid under the guidance of Ancelotti will meet Premier League giants Chelsea to win a place in the semi-finals of Europe's biggest club competition. Answering a question from the Hindustan Times during the Champions League press conference, former Barcelona player Jofre Mateu thinks Los Blancos will beat Chelsea in the quarterfinals.

“The problem is that with Real Madrid you always feel you have a chance. Because they play react. They even pass the ball to you, it looks like they don't have a chance and they just defend and in 10 minutes they scored 3 goals. And Benzema is the best forwarder. Very fast. He is very smart. Madrid also have Rodrygo, they have Vinicius, they have Valverde to pursue. Benzema is the best finisher. No one can give you the key to stop Benzema or Real Madrid. You always have a chance with Real Madrid but the Champions League is their competition. So to be honest, I don't give Chelsea many chances," Mateu told the Hindustan Times. When asked about Ancelotti's future at the Bernabeu, the former Barcelona player made a bold statement. Mateu believes that Ancelotti could face an ax if Real Madrid end up another forgettable season under his leadership. The defending champions La Liga are 12 points behind Barcelona in the top Spanish league. Real Madrid, inspired by Karim Benzema, recently scored the famous 4-0 goal against great rivals Barcelona in El Clasico to secure a place in the Copa del Rey final. Mateu has claimed Ancelotti can extend his stay at the Bernabeu by leading Real Madrid to a 15th European Championship. "I imagine Real Madrid will pass, let's see what happens in the first Madrid game. You know, if Real Madrid can't win big - we've seen what happened in Liverpool but I don't imagine Madrid winning in London by such a margin, so it will be very even. And yes, if Real Madrid don't win the Champions League - I don't imagine that Ancelotti will be here for the season. They're planning for the future - some of the names pop up here like Mauricio Pochettino. It could be Antonio Conte, who doesn't direct, or Julian Nagelsmann. If they win the Champions League, he will probably be here. So I think it all depends on Madrid's success in the Champions League," concluded the former Barca player.
