Sammy Gyamfi was born on 28 March, 1989. He is a Ghanaian lawyer and politician. Sammy is the current National Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress.
Sammy Gyamfi had his secondary education at the St. James Seminary Secondary School. Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is where he got his first degree. over there he served as the TEIN president for the party and was later appointed to serve at the Kumasi Meteopolitan Assembly where he really proved himself capable of the service.
In 2018, He stood for the National Communications Officer's position during the National Democratic Congress's national executive elections and won. Sammy contested with the then Deputy Communication Director of the Party, Fred Agbenyo. He gathered a total of 4,000 votes more than him. He got 6,225 out of 9,000 votes cast. Whiles his contender Fred Agbenyo got 2,225 votes. He was again re-elected in 2022 for another four years as a National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress.
Sammy Gyamfi is a Christian and married. The private ceremony witnessed notable guests , including the NDC’s 2020 flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, and his running mate, Professor Nana Jane Opoku Agyemang.
Former Deputy Chief of Staff. Valerie Sawyerr also attended the event in a white outfit to reflect the celebratory gathering.
The party’s newly elected National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, with the immediate past Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo was also present to grace the occasion.
Sources say Sammy is a close boy of the now national chairman of the NDC, the General mosquito. That he was introduced into politics by him and had since been guiding him in this path.
