As Inter Milan and Juventus faced off in Serie A on Friday, Guillermo Ochoa pulled off a miraculous feat to prevent a goal.
Salernitana battled Inter for a point, and Ochoa was outstanding in goal, stopping an astounding 10 shots.
In the 64th minute, he made a critical, game-saving stop to keep Inter from going ahead by two goals.
Ochoa was caught up in his own net after Romelu Lukaku's close-range shot from a corner. Stefan de Vrij made a strong headshot that seemed destined for the net. Yet the Mexico goalie somehow managed to prevent the ball from getting into the net as he stood up and spectacularly punched the ball clear.
The World Cup legend, who joined the Italian team in December, exploded on social media after his performance against Inter.
One person tweeted: "Ochoa assisted them in securing a draw against Inter by making 10 saves. We don't have any other keepers trying to test themselves in Europe, and you're still going strong at 38 in a top 5 league... In the WC in 2026, I can see him."Another wrote: "Such a great save by Ochoa. He shows that he is THAT man yet again."
Added a third: "Ochoa made 10 saves versus Inter. I suppose he carried his World Cup form along.""Can someone tell Ochoa it's not the World Cup," a fourth joked.
Another person said: "Ochoa to Salernitana might be the biggest January signing IN THE WORLD."
In his admiration for the Salernitana goalkeeper, Inter manager Simone Inzaghi even mentioned the 37-year-performance old's in net.
He said after the game, "I have to watch the game again, but we performed good and played well. "Lukaku's crossbar, De Vrij's opportunity, and Ochoa's outstanding saves."
Salernitana are 10 points clear of the relegation zone in 15th place in the table with 29 points.
