Manchester United legend Gary Neville has revealed the 'curse of right-back' at Old Trafford after Aaron Wan-Bissaka missed a golden opportunity to score against Everton.

Erik ten Hag's side won 2-0 over Sean Dyche's men, but the United manager was sometimes frustrated with his players' finishes throughout the game.

England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was forced to make a total of nine saves in the afternoon as he repeatedly turned down Marcus Rashford, Antony and Marcel Sabitzer. In addition to the goalkeeper, United were also at fault when they had up to 10 chances from the opponent's net.

One of the notable opportunities came from defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka. After an ambitious attempt by Antony to miss the post, the ball reached the foot of the former Crystal Palace player, but unfortunately for the home crowd, he could not send the ball off the post. An attempt was met with groans from the unification believers.

This then led to the following reaction from former United defender Gary Neville, who scored just five goals in 11 seasons at the club:

Despite the defender's missed effort, United then took all three points and rose to third in the Premier League table. Opening a crucial three-point gap ahead of Champions League chasers is Newcastle United.

Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit has urged his former club to sign Ollie Watkins this summer. The former France midfielder also reiterated his view that the Gunners should sign Brighton duo Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is expected to further strengthen his squad this summer. The North London team is set to participate in the Champions League for the first time since the 2016/17 season. Arteta added three players to his squad in January, bringing in Leandro Trossard, Jorginho and Jakub Kiwior. But he could lose some of those who have had limited game time this summer.

Petit has repeatedly spoken of his belief that Caicedo and Mac Allister would be wise additions to his former club. Arsenal fell through with several offers to sign Caicedo in January and the Ecuadorian star signed a new contract.

But now he believes Arteta can strengthen with the signing of Watkins. The Aston Villa striker has 11 goals in the Premier League this season, including eight in his last 10 appearances.

Petit told Astro Stadium:

"Aston Villa striker Watkins. I think he has the opportunity to improve even more at the highest level.

"That's really my question, if he can play at the highest level. But in terms of quality, I think he has improved a lot in the last two years. "If he continues to do what he does, he scores almost every game, he is in very good form. I think some big clubs will keep an eye on him."

Petit again said he thinks Arsenal should attack Brighton for their two star midfielders. Mac Allister has had a fantastic scoring season for Brighton, scoring 10 goals in all competitions for both sides as Argentina won the World Cup in December.

Caicedo has started 26 games for Brighton this season and caught the eye of some of England's top teams. Petit added:

"Like some of the Brighton players, Caicedo, I'm a huge fan. "For two years I told Arsenal that they should buy him, Mac Allister, the midfield duo. I think they would be a perfect fit at Arsenal."
