Sad news coming in from trusted Nigerian news agency lindaikejiblogofficial on Instagram has it that, a groom died on his wedding night after his bride’s ex gifted them a music sound system that was rigged with explosives. The groom identified as Hemendra Merawi, who is 25 years old was said to be in his room with his 30-year-old elder brother also identified as Rajkumar, unwrapping gifts they received during their wedding ceremony. In the process, they unwrapped a music sound system which according to circulating news was gifted to them by his bride’s ex-boyfriend. They unwrapped it and prepare to test it, upon plugging and turning it on, the sound system exploded. Killing the groom.
The impact of the explosion was said to be heavy as according to the law enforcement agency in India, the roof of the house blew off and the three walls were broken due to the impact of the explosion. Five family members including an 18-month-old baby who was present in the house at the time of the explosion have been severely injured and receiving medical treatment at the hospital. The newly wedded bride was only identified as a 29-year-old woman and was at the house of her parents during this sad occurrence as reported by news and media outlets based in India.
The bride and other family members were invited over by the police for questioning and upon further deep conversation, an ex-lover of the bride was a prime suspect, and the way police quickly apprehended him and commence a further investigation. A 33-year-old mechanic identified as Sarju Markam, an auto mechanic is now identified as the brain behind the act. Police gathered that, Sarju Markam is already married with children and wanted the bride of the now-deceased Hemendra to be his second wife, which she refused, hence he became vengeful and committed the act.
Police Burger gathered that, a day before her marriage, the now prime suspect Sarju Markam called the bride and tried talking her down not to go through with the marriage but she refused, Markem then called Mahendra and threatened him, it didn't end there after realising the wedding was going to come on anyway, he arranged for a friend to take him there where he presented his gift and added it to several gifts present at the scene before quickly departing police said.
Markam is facing life imprisonment if found guilty of the crimes leveled against him.
