The Premier League title is back in the hands of Manchester City after Arsenal lost 2 goals to Liverpool at Anfield.

The league leaders were leading 2-0 and won early after goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus.

Mo Salah pulled back a goal late in the first half and squandered a huge opportunity to level the score when he successfully netted a penalty after Diogo Jota was fouled by Rob Holding.

But then Roberto Firmino appeared with a late equalizer to bring Liverpool a point in a tight match at Anfield.

The player should have been cheered by the Man City fans as it was a pivotal moment in their bid to win a third consecutive Premier League title. Pep Guardiola's side beat Southampton 4-1 on Saturday and keep six points from Arsenal after this weekend's game.

However, they still have one game left against the Gunners, who they also host at Etihad Stadium in a match of epic proportions on April 26.

With a slightly higher goal difference, City will win one more title if they win all of their matches.

The clash between Liverpool and Arsenal was undoubtedly one of the best of the season and started to explode when a clash between Trent Alexander-Arnold and Granit Xhaka angered everyone.

But there was a shocking moment in the first half when line referee Constantine Hatzidakis appeared to nudge Liverpool defender Andy Robertson. Liverpool players raged at the referee and footage shown by Sky Sports confirmed Jamie Carragher's claim that the Scot had suffered an elbow.

Geoff Shreeves reported that the former Hull City man had a rage in the tunnel, while Gary Neville suggested that the assistant could be severely punished.

PGMOL said it would investigate the incident.
